Dr. Hermann Reuter

    Dr. Hermann Reuter is a member of the Executive Board and Vice President of the International Bankers Forum (IBF), the largest privately organized professional association for bankers and financial service providers in Germany, which counts around 1,000 institutional and personal members across Europe.

    Since 1981, Hermann Reuter held various executive functions, including at Dresdner Bank, Kleinwort Benson, Wasserstein Perella, Commerzbank AG and the Allianz Group. The portfolio encompassed investment banking, mergers & acquisitions, capital market product development, syndications, IPO, public sector servicing at federal, state and city level with privatizations, debt management, structured finance and public-private partnerships as well as strategic political tasks in the development of the European single currency ECU / EURO as well as in financial center initiatives. For two years he worked as National Expert in Department VII Financial Market Policy at the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin.

    After completing a banking apprenticeship at Commerzbank AG, Hermann Reuter studied business administration, followed by a doctorate and work in research and teaching at the University of Hamburg.
